Business English

Business English is an undergraduate program with English as the basis and with business as the orientation. In our university, Business English program is initiated in 2012. The program aims to cultivate practice-oriented advanced professional personnel, with solid English foundation, global vision, systematic knowledge of international business, and good literacy of Chinese and Western cultures. They are aimed to grasp basic theories and principles on English linguistics & literature，business management, economics and international business laws, and to be aware of the current rules in international business. They need to be provided with strong capabilities in cross-cultural business communication and business information management, so as to make good use of English in the fields of foreign trade, management, finance, foreign affairs. Adjacent to Canton Fair, our university is at the leading edge of international business communication, which offers Business English program in our university prosperous developing prospects. The program has been popularly welcomed among higher education applicants and the society. The students of this program have the opportunities to attend National Business English Practice Contest and other similar contests, and they are encouraged to pass BEC and other similar examinations, so as to enhance their Business English capability in a wide scope.
