Advertising in the School of Arts is a very competitive professional department within southern China. The advertising department was established in 2001 and since then it has been producing a large number of outstanding graduates in advertising and its related industries in southern China. The notions of “innovative concepts & integrated development” form the basis of our approach to cultivating advertising talent and meeting the needs of the times. Students of Advertising are expected to understand the basic theories of communication, marketing and modern management; master international advanced advertising culture and follow the latest development trends of advertising marketing and media. They will gain expertise in advertising planning, advertising copywriting, media operation and advertising operation management. They should become applied advertising professionals who are used to thinking creatively and can adapt to challenges in the new market economy. They are also expected to become competent in market promotion, business management & operation, as well as be able to work with advertising departments of enterprises or institutions, all sorts of new media technology companies, any integrated advertising companies or advertising departments of new media or in any market researching & information consulting industries.
