Computer Science and Technology

     Computer Science and Technology is computer application-oriented against the background of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and involves using computers to solve problems in the fields of management and finance in the most efficient way. It’s more than creating code to solve problems – it’s about using the correct code to produce a solution that is efficient, effective, and the best tool for the job. In the BS in Computer Science and Technology, students are expected to unlock their potential and explore the myriad career options available to individuals. With both bachelor’s degrees and associate degrees available in four years, students work toward building a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that will be of value to future employers in government departments, financial institutions, businesses, and research departments. We combine tech know-how with business skills into a package that allows students to deal with computer science research, computer systems and network design, management and maintenance, software development and management efficiently and effectively. Main courses are Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Digital and Analog Circuit Technology, Computer Composition Principle and Assembly Design, Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, Analysis and Design, Operating System, Database Theory, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, and Information Security.  The graduates ' employment rates were 100% in the year of 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2014; 98.07% in 2005; 95.77% in 2009; and 99.13% in 2012 and 2013.
