This program has fostered a large number of talented professionals for the editing and publishing industry in Guangdong province. Its characteristics lie in its integration of publishing with management, law, and other key disciplines in Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and emphasizing on the cultivation of application capabilities.
The program of Publishing and Editing also focuses on the integration of theory with practice and developing students’ innovative spirit , practical competency and especially the capability of editing and publishing information of all media. It also attaches great importance to familiarizing students with modern publishing technology, the flow process in production and operation management in publishing.
Students are accessible to newspapers, magazines and other media with GDUFE characteristics, systematically acquiring comprehensive knowledge, a solid professional foundation, great adaptability in editing and publishing, as well as knowledge in laws and rules of publishing and having a good understanding of the historical background and the present situation of the publishing industry.
Currently we have a group of young and full-time teachers who are experts in China and overseas. Graduates have been well welcomed by industry and society for their expertise in editing and publishing and knowledge of humanities.
Currently we maintain close ties with School of Digital Media Technology of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication where our junior students could have the chance to study for one year as exchange students.
