The Department of Logistics Management was established in 2002, and so far has enrolled around 7000 students in the past13 years. There are 10 full-time teachers in the department, including 2 professors, 4 associate professors and 7 PhDs. The Program aims to train students who can master the basic knowledge and practical skills of logistics and supply chain management, understand the development of modern logistics industry and technology both at home and abroad, and are suitable for relevant work at all levels of economic management departments, multi-national corporation, logistics enterprises and all kinds of industrial and commercial enterprises which are engaged in logistics planning and design, logistics operations management, supply chain management and international procurement. We now have one provincial shared course of top quality resource, 2 National Natural Science Fund projects and 11 provincial research projects, and have published 60 papers in core journals, including 6 academic research papers in A- level journals, 3 papers in B- level journals. Several teachers obtained the first prize in Chinese Logistic Annual Meeting and in the Guangdong Social Science Annual Meeting for their excellent papers. The students obtained one second prize and two third prizes in the National Contest of Logistic Design for College and University Students.
