Teaching Objectives
Managerial Economics is aimed to deepen knowledge of Professional Masters of Accounting who have studied Primary Microeconomics and Management. Based on the theories of economics and experience cases, using mathematical tools like Calculus, teaching the basic theories and analytic methods of Managerial Economics completely and deeply and combining Chinese reform with actual demonstration of development, Managerial Economics tries to inspire students to gain interest and innovative thinking to analyze and solve actual economics problems, and to let them learn the basic methods of building up economic models. Through the teaching of this subject, we try to make students to acquire three things:
1.Mastering the basic theories, logical clues and analytic methods of Managerial Economics.
2.The students could simplify and abstract economic problems which are complex in real life, and adjust these problems to basic decision-making techniques which will maximize effectiveness of Economic Actors under the restrictions of economic analysis.
3. Having the basic knowledge and ability to take the Accounting Master entrance examination of in 985 and 211 universities or related Doctor of Management Profession.
Teaching Contents
Through studying this subject, students should have complete understanding of operation mechanisms in modern markets, should be able to use the basic theories of Managerial Economics to analyze and solve managing problems the enterprises face. And students should master enterprise-manage statistics and optimized analyze methods, ways and also be familiar with the general law and process of common managing decision in enterprises. Moreover, students could make scientific business decisions according to basic theories of Managerial Economics and specific managing environment. Managerial Economics tries to explain operation and function of marketing mechanisms and how to improve the ways of this kind of operation in modern society through research on individual actions of economic units. Our teaching is based on the teaching in class and combining theories with practice by methods such as theory analysis, calculation derivation case study. Additionally, our teaching is aimed at cultivating the students' way of thinking about economics and make them think about all kind of economic problems in our everyday life, just like economists.
