Broadly, all statistical research process can be considered data processing. In The narrow sense, the data processing mainly refers to the process of the data preprocessing before the data analysis. Data processing on the one hand to improves the quality of data, on the other hand allows data to better suit a particular statistical analysis methods or techniques. For example, you may need to convert continuous variables into discrete variables, in order to take advantage of specific technologies; Again, you may need to unify variables , standardized for multivariate statistical analysis or for a comprehensive evaluation. This course introduces the basic techniques and software operation of data processing, so students understand the basic theories and methods of data processing, and can use the R software for data processing and practice basic statistical analysis. | ||||||||||||
