Teaching Objectives
The course aims to enable students to recognize and understand the fundamental theoretical problems and some major practical issues in the process of China's market-oriented reforms, then train and develop unique perspective and analysis methods on the economic problems. Because the course focuses on empirical research based on analysis of the basic theory, it requires students to cover the literature of the course as much as possible, and have a more keen perception on the hot and difficult problems about the process of Chinas market-oriented reforms. It aims to form their own views on the practice of economic problems. Lectures will be interspersed with discussions and case studies, so students are required to ask questions and participate in discussions.
Teaching Contents
Mainly based on the contemporary world and Chinese background, the course researches subthemes and introduces major issues in the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, deepens and expands the undergraduate ideological and political theory course study, then further understands the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and firm beliefs of Chinese socialist. It includes socialist market economy theory and practical evolution, the system of socialist market economy, the working of socialist market economy, the opening up of socialist market economy and development and experience of world market economy mode and so on.
