Teaching Objectives
Teaching objectives of operations and optimization make students understand and master the basic concepts, basic principles and basic methods, and make students master methods of optimization and operation, optimization techniques of quantitative analysis, and can correctly use all kinds of models to analyze and solve various practical problems, and train and improve students' scientific thinking, scientific method, practical skills and innovation ability. So as to make a solid theoretical and practical basis to study other professional courses, to continue their studies, to solve practical problems and to engage management scientific work.
Teaching Contents
"Operations and optimization" is based on quantitative analysis to study economic management and production practices and other issues. It combines engineering ideas and management ideas, uses methods of system, science and mathematical analysis to obtain optimal decision scheme by going through with modeling, testing and solving the mathematical model. It mainly teaches the basic models, methods and application technologies that closely relate to economy, management and control, such as linear programming, simplex method, dual theory and sensitivity analysis of linear programming, transportation problem, integer programming, goal programming, dynamic programming, graph and network optimization, network planning, queuing theory, storage theory, game theory, single objective and multi-objective decision-making etc.
