This course is designed to introduce basic theories, methodology in contrastive linguistics, comparison and translation between English and Chinese, which acquaints learners with a systemic knowledge of the above, and the contrastive dimensions between English and Chinese languages and cultures through case studies in English-Chinese or Chinese- English translated texts, and the differences and similarities between the original text and the target text.

By Zhou Zuoren and Zhou Shuren), translation of Poems, translating-out of modern Chinese literature, etc.
