Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages

This program was set up in 2006 ( It was named Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL)before 2013).  Its backbone disciplines cover Linguistics, Literature, Intercultural Communication, Education, and Psychology. The program aims to cultivate application-oriented professionals with global visions, innovative spirits, application capabilities, intercultural communication as well as a solid foundation of knowledge in Chinese linguistics, Chinese literature, Chinese culture. Two of the faculty have been engaging in teaching of  Chinese language and culture in Thailand and Indonesia. 

Students have been admitted to postgraduate programs (including the program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) in other leading universities in China and abroad for further study.  Some of  the students worked actively as Chinese volunteer at International bilingual or multilingual events .
